TRAILER: Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper Ready to Clash in 'The Place Beyond the Pines'

When Ryan Gosling last worked with director Derek Cianfrance in Blue Valentine, the actor delivered a role that should have earned him an Oscar nomination. The two have teamed up again in The Place Beyond the Pines, a crime drama featuring Gosling as a stunt-bike rider who begins robbing banks and Bradley Cooper as a cop-turned-politician.

The idea of Gosling and Cianfrance going from a depressing romantic drama to a crime drama is pretty intriguing, especially when you throw in soon-to-be-Oscar-nominee Cooper. After Silver Linings Playbook, everyone's going to have to get used to movies with Cooper in them being advertised as "starring Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper." Yup, just wait for that first The Hangover III trailer.

The Place Beyond the Pines hits theaters on March 29, 2013, and stars Gosling, Cooper, Rose Byrne, Eva Mendes and Ray Liotta. Check out the first trailer for the film after the jump.
