FINAL OSCARINDEX: Yup, 'Lincoln' Remains at the Top of the Power Rankings

Popculturology's OscarIndex is a nifty chart of the top ten films that you should be paying attention to in order to be ready for the the Oscars. Each film on the list is assigned an OscarIndex number, with the No. 1 film getting a score of 100. The following nine films then get OscarIndex numbers based on how much buzz they have going into the Academy Awards compared to the No. 1 film.

Yes, this is the final OscarIndex for the 2013 Oscar season. With the nominations being revealed next Thursday, Popculturology will turn its attention to that pool of films instead of trying to predict what you should be watching. It's a good thing this is the last OscarIndex for the season too, since it appears that the Oscar contenders have more or less settled into their final power rankings. Lincoln has only grown stronger, while Zero Dark Thirty's charge has plateaued. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that Zero Dark Thirty won't be the Best Picture winner, as Lincoln's strength comes from its sheer dominance of just about every category, not just the top prize.
