Justin Timberlake Announces That He's Ready to Make a New Album

After watching Justin Timberlake act in movies like The Social Network, Friends With Benefits and Trouble With the Curve over the past few years, it's easy to forget that Timberlake began as a musician and put out the critically acclaimed FutureSex/LoveSounds album in 2006. Timberlake dove into his acting career after that album, and not only has he gotten pretty good at it, he even received Oscar buzz for The Social Network. Popculturology even thinks he could make a convincing Steve Jobs in Aaron Sorkin's film.

Well, it looks like any acting plans Timberlake had are going to be on hold for a bit. On Thursday, he posted a video on his YouTube announcing that he's ready to return to the album-making business. Seriously, his exact words were: "I'm ready." Then the video ended. Kind of an announcement of an announcement. Timberlake's new album doesn't have a title or a release date, but the video did remind everyone that the artist has a nicer house than the rest of us. A new Timberlake album means he has an excuse to return to Saturday Night Live, right?

Check out Timberlake's announcement video after the jump.
