'The Hobbit: There and Back Again' Pushed Back to December 2014

Don't worry, The Hobbit fans, Warner Bros. pushing back The Hobbit: There and Back Again a few months isn't a bad thing. In fact, it was a mistake that the final film of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit was scheduled to be released in the middle of the summer when all three The Lord of the Rings films and the first two installments of The Hobbit trilogy either debuted or are set to debut during the December movie season.

I'm not quite sure what Warner Bros. was thinking when it originally planned to release The Hobbit: There and Back Again on July 18, 2014. The Hobbit: There and Back Again will now hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2014. Before that, though, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will premiere on Dec. 13, 2013.
