'Boy Meets World' Sequel Series Finds Its Eric Matthews

With the daughter of Cory and Topanga Matthews and her best friend already cast, Girl Meets World has announced that the show has found its version of Eric Matthews. Teo Halm will play Elliott, according to a TVLine report.
TVLine has learned exclusively that relative newcomer Teo Halm is joining Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World pilot as Cory and Topanga’s son, Elliott. As we previously reported, Rowan Blanchard will play Halm’s onscreen sis and the prospective series’ title character, Riley.
Halm doesn't appear to have much of a history as an actor and doesn't even have a Wikipedia page to reference for past roles. For some more information on Elliott, here's what we learned about the character back in February:
Elliott Matthews, 13. Cory and Topanga’s son. This guy will start the series as a “thinking man’s jock.” He’s described as “good looking, well built, funny and insightful in his observations. Good hearted except for his dedication toward using Riley (Blanchard) as his wrestling practice dummy. His parents worry that he has inherited the ‘Eric Matthews Algernon’ gene and will lose intelligence as time goes by.” That “Eric Matthews Algernon” bit is a two-part reference to a character in the original series who got dumber as seasons passed and the classic novel with a similar theme, Flowers for Algernon.
