'SNL' Announcer Don Pardo Missed This Weekend's Episode After Breaking His Hip

Eagle-eyed Saturday Night Live fans (eagle-eared?) knew that something was off during the opening credits of this weekend's episode. Whoever was reading the names of the cast sounded close enough but not close enough to longtime SNL announce Don Pardo to trigger the realization that it wasn't Pardo reading those names. Twitter immediately began worrying about what could have happened to Pardo, even asking if he had passed away.

It turns out Pardo actually suffered a broken hip, according to a TMZ report. It sounds like the announcer has missed the past two episodes of SNL. No word on when he'll return or who the mystery voice filling in for him has been.
