TV TRAILER: Are You Ready for Andy Samberg As a Cop in 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'?

After Andy Samberg left Saturday Night Live, he made the questionable choice of attaching his star to Adam Sandler's crumbling career in That's My Boy. After that epic flop, Samberg wised up and teamed up with guys who actually know how to deliver a quality product these days — Parks and Recreation producers Michael Schur and Dan Goor.

Samberg will star in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a comedy airing on Fox about a New York City detective who gets a new boss and has to grow up a bit. Yes, Samberg is playing a cop. Don't worry, the show's trailer makes it clear that Samberg won't be giving up his unique brand of comedy.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine will air on Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. on Fox, right before New Girl. The network gave the show a 13-episode order. If Brooklyn Nine-Nine does well, I'd have to imagine that Fox would up that order. The series also stars Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz and Chelsea Peretti.

Check out the first trailer for Brooklyn Nine-Nine after the jump to see if you buy Samberg as a Brooklyn cop.
