1958: The CBC links TV broadcasting across Canada via microwave. They made sure they finished making popcorn before the link up.
1963: Zip Codes are introduced for the United States Postal Service.
1979: Sony introduces the Walkman. Speaking of Walkman, we made a mixtape for you.
1984: Prompted by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the Motion Picture Association of America adopts the PG-13 rating.
1987: WFAN becomes the world's first all-sports radio station. They probably were not arguing the validity of Dwight Gooden's WAR rating.
