TV SPOT: 'The Dark World' Is Upon Us, But Natalie Portman Just Wants to Know Why Thor Didn't Call

Careful, Marvel — you're on the verge of turning Oscar winner Natalie Portman into a teenage girl by the looks of the latest TV spot for Thor: The Dark World. The commercial starts off with Chris Hemsworth's Thor telling Portman's Jane Foster that he promised to return, only for her to point out that she saw him hanging out with his buddies, the Avengers. There's a good chance that in the next scene, Jane tells Thor that she read his text messages and knows about the shawarma date Thor and his bros went on.

I'm mostly kidding here. I just hope that Jane isn't being reduced to a complete damsel in distress. Marvel needs a few more female superheroes. Turning Portman's character into a jealous girlfriend isn't a good start.
