Emile Hirsch to Star in John Belushi Biopic
I've alway liked Emile Hirsch. This probably stems from my love of The Girl Next Door. With his performances in Milk and Into the Wild, it's surprised me that Hirsch hasn't found a way to become a bigger star.
There's still the chance Hirsch could achieve that stardom. On Monday, it was announced that he would star in Belushi, a biopic about John Belushi. The film will be directed by Steve Conrad, who wrote the screenplays for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Pursuit of Happyness and The Weatherman. Belushi will be based on the book of the same title by Judith Belushi Pisano and Tanner Colby.
This news comes with a ton of questions. How will Hirsch disappear into this role? He neither looks like nor has the mannerisms of Belushi. Will he gain weight for the role? Will Hirsch go full Day-Lewis and become Belushi for this role? Belushi doesn't have a targeted release date yet, so we'll have to wait awhile for the answer to these questions.
