MTV Renews 'Teen Wolf' for a Fourth Season, Announces 'Talking Dead'-esque Companion Show

True story: I actually watched (most of?) the first season of MTV's Teen Wolf. It was the summertime and there wasn't much else going on on TV. I think I felt sorry for my dvr — it was pretty lonely during that time with nothing to record.

Even though I've long moved past Teen Wolf, the show has quite the audience and has even started showing up at Comic Con. It was no surprise when MTV announced that it had picked up Teen Wolf for a fourth season. On top of that, MTV will also launch a companion show for Teen Wolf. The show, called Wolf Watch, will begin when Teen Wolf picks back up on Jan. 6, 2014. Wolf Watch will be hosted by Jill Wagner, who plays Kate Argent on the show.

Should every show get a companion show now? AMC launched this trend with The Walking Dead/Talking Dead and turned it into a mini-franchise with Breaking Bad/Talking Bad. I gotta believe that AMC will continue this when Mad Men comes back, since Talking Mad names itself. I would've loved to have had these companion shows back in Lost's heyday. That would've been awesome. An hour of Lost followed by a show devoted to breaking it down? I miss Lost ...
