'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Lost' Scribe Drew Goddard Will Write Marvel and Netflix's 'Daredevil' Series
It hasn't even been a week since Marvel and Netflix announced an unprecedented slate of four series and a miniseries based on a handful of Marvel characters, with Daredevil being the biggest franchise included. Needless to say, fans of Daredevil are pretty excited.
Well, they have another reason to be excited now. On Tuesday, TheWrap reported that Drew Goddard is in negotiations to write the Daredevil Netflix series. Goddard's resume has some pretty big properties on it, previously writing Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost and Alias. He also directed Joss Whedon's The Cabin in the Woods. Oh, funny how Whedon is only the guy currently running the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe (besides Kevin Feige, that is).
Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will debut on Netflix in 2015, leading up to a The Defenders miniseries. Start nerding out now.
UPDATE: Deadline is reporting that Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg will be the scribe penning the Jessica Jones series.
