Elizabeth Olsen Confirms That She'll Play Scarlet Witch in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron'

After months of speculation (seriously, we've been talking about this since August), Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed that, yes, she's in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. The actress verified the scoop to MTV, citing Samuel L. Jackson revealing the news last month as the reason why she could now talk about playing the Scarlet Witch in the Avengers sequel.

Olsen told MTV that she's yet to see any materials or costumes from the movie, but is excited to work with director Joss Whedon and her Godzilla costar Aaron Taylor-Johnson. In Godzilla, Olsen and Taylor-Johnson play wife and husband, but in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, they'll be sister and brother. That pairing wasn't lost on Olsen.

"We get to play husband and wife, and we get to play twin brother and sister," she said. "It's also fun because even though in Godzilla we play husband and wife, we don't have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I'm so excited … to actually work with each other. I think it's going to be fun."

I'm so thrilled that Olsen is on the cusp of stardom. Between Godzilla and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, everyone is going to know who she is.
