Peter Pan Begins: Joe Wright to Direct 'Pan' for Warner Bros.

When you were a kid watching Disney's Peter Pan, was there a part of you that wondered how Peter Pan stumbled into his life in Neverland? Well, Warner Bros. is hoping that you did.

The studio is working on Pan, a movie that will explore the origin story of Peter Pan, and according to TheWrap, Warner Bros. has picked Joe Wright to direct. Wright has previously directed Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, Anna Karenina and Hanna.

TheWrap notes that Warner Bros.'s Pan is one of three Peter Pan movies currently in the works, with Columbia Pictures working on its own Pan, which will be produced by Channing Tatum and Joe Roth, and Disney adapting Peter and the Starcatchers. I can't wait to see how these origin movies explain the super-racist versions of Native Americans that live in Wonderland.
