'Edge of Tomorrow' Trailer Puts Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt Through 'Groundhog Day'

The first trailer for Edge of Tomorrow was released on Wednesday, showing off Tom Cruise's upcoming sci-fi battlefield movie.

In the film, Cruise plays a soldier fighting an alien invasion. After a close encounter with the enemy, Cruise's character finds himself stuck in a time loop, repeating one day over and over again. Eventually his character connects with another soldier (Emily Blunt) and begins taking advantage of the time loop. With each passing day and death, Cruise's soldier learns more about the battle and their enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow is directed by The Bourne Identity director Doug Liman. It hits theaters on June 6, 2014.
