'Game of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke Is 'Terminator' Reboot's New Sarah Connor

The Terminator reboot has found its Sarah Connor, with Deadline reporting that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has won the role.

For weeks, we've heard that director Alan Taylor and Paramount were trying to decide between Clarke and Brie Larson, with Taylor favoring Clarke, who he had previously directed in Game of Thrones. Looks like Taylor got his way.

This casting will make for an odd billing on Terminator: Genesis' posters and trailers, as we learned just a few days ago that Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke had been cast as John Connor ... which means that the Connors are now played by the Clarkes. (Even though Emilia and Jason aren't related.)

Terminator: Genesis is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2015. That means there's plenty of times for fans who are used to seeing Emilia Clarke on Game of Thrones to be really confused when Sarah Connor doesn't have bleach blonde hair.
