'Game of Thrones' Star Jason Momoa in Talks for 'Batman vs. Superman'

Is Warner Bros. about to add another hero to Batman vs. Superman? According to The Hollywood Reporter, former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa is in talks for an undisclosed role.

THR reports that there's speculation Warner Bros. could be courting Momoa to play Martian Manhunter, a member of the Justice League. That team's roster is quickly filling out, with Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman already on board for the movie.

Other sources tell THR that Momoa could be in line to play Doomsday, the villain with the distinction of actually killing Superman. Personally, I have my doubts that Warner Bros. would go with Doomsday for this movie. Like Superman and Zod, Doomsday has a Kryptonian origin story, something we already saw in Man of Steel. The Death of Superman story should be a huge event too, not just something that gets crammed into a movie that the studio is now pretty much using to quickly launch Justice League.

Batman vs. Superman wouldn't be the first time Momoa has flirted with joining a superhero movie. Back in February, it was reported that the actor was in talks to play Drax in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Those talks fell apart, and the role of Drax went to Dave Bautista.
