'Community' Season 5 Trailer Brings Winger Back to Greendale -- Has the Show Found Its Spark Again?

NBC unveiled a trailer for Community's upcoming season on Monday, and — I could be wrong here, but I really hope I'm not — it looks like Community is about to make an amazing recovery from its mediocre fourth season.

With show creator Dan Harmon back running things, a lot of fans have spent the past few months wondering how Harmon would undo the damage done by the well-intentioned but misguided guys who took over the show after NBC fired him. Joel McHale's Jeff Winger had graduated from Greendale — how would he remain around the college?

Providing this trailer isn't some sort of elaborate play on classic TV/movie tropes, it looks like Jeff will be returning to Greendale ... as a professor. We've all seen this storyline a hundred times, which kind of makes it a logical target for Harmon's brand of pop culture deconstruction.

I can't wait to see how Harmon rebuilds after the damage of Community's impostor season. When Danny Pudi's Abed says, "It'll be like Scrubs Season 9 — a revamp, a do-over," is he onto something?
