Wow, NBC Is Actually Promoting 'Community' Season 5

When Community kicked off its syndication run on Comedy Central, the network ran commercials featuring the show's stars mocking the idea that anyone would actually promote them. After years of getting pushed around and ignored by NBC, Community wasn't used to someone actually telling viewers it existed.

Looks like NBC is taking a page from Comedy Central's playbook for Community's upcoming season, releasing a promo for the show on Wednesday. The clip is brief, but it looks like Joel McHale's Jeff Winger has been lured back to the Greendale study room that he called home somehow.

Community returns on Jan. 2, 2014.
