Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana Will Be Back for All Three 'Avatar' Sequels
Are these Avatar sequels actually going to happen? It seems like we've been talking about them forever. Release dates get pushed back. New writers get hired. Avatar came out in 2009 — how long does it take for James Cameron to come up with the most basic plotline possible and rev up his fancy cameras?
Anyways, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana (who's already super busy with Guardians of the Galaxy and an eventual Star Trek sequel) will be back for all three Avatar sequels. THR reports that the sequels will be filmed back-to-back-to-back. I'm also not quite sure if calling them sequels is accurate, as reports from 2012 had the fourth film as a prequel.
THR also has the scoop that "Jake Sully and Neytiri, the characters played by Worthington and Saldana, respectively, have kids." How cute.
