'The Hateful Eight': Quentin Tarantino's Next Movie Has a Title and He Wants Christoph Waltz In It
Quentin Tarantino is ready to head back to the Wild West and if he has his way, Christoph Waltz will be joining him. On Saturday, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the director had settled on The Hateful Eight, a Western, as his next film and that "a part has been written for Christoph Waltz."
According to THR, Tarantino could start shooting The Hateful Eight this summer, although the site also notes that other sources are saying that the director has yet to settle on a shooting calendar.
Django Unchained, Tarantino's most recent film, was also a Western with Waltz, and that film scored Oscars for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor, not to mention a nomination for Best Picture. While working with Tarantino, Waltz has gone two-for-two with Best Supporting Actor Oscars. Not a bad track record.
There was a three-year gap between Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, so a late 2015 release date for The Hateful Eight would be a good guess.
