'Lego Movie' Sequel Names Chris McKay Director

Warner Bros. continues to quickly assemble the pieces for its The Lego Movie sequel, naming Chris McKay director of the movie. McKay served as animation co-director on the original, with Chris Miller and Phil Lord being directors. According to Deadline, Miller and Lord will be producers on The Lego Movie sequel.

While I would love to see as much of the Lego Movie team stay in place, McKay's role as animation co-director on the original gave that movie its charm. If there's anyone on that first team who should step in for Miller and Lord, it would be McKay.

The Lego Movie sequel will open on May, 26, 2017.
