Christian Bale Is Moses in 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' Trailer and Posters

The first trailer for director Ridley Scott's Exodus: Gods and Kings debuted on Tuesday. Up until this point, we had only seen static pictures of Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton as Moses and Rhamses.

The Exodus trailer definitely makes it clear that Scott, Bale and Edgerton are going for epic with this movie. Scott's always been known for making films in this vein, previously doing the sword-and-sandels thing with Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Exodus appears to be working from the foundation those films created — with just a touch of wrath of God thrown in.

Yahoo Movies also premiered three posters for Exodus on Tuesday. They're highly stylized and do a great job showing off Bale and Edgerton.

Exodus also stars Aaron Paul, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley. The film opens on Dec. 12.
