CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Pits Captain America Against Iron Man on May 6, 2016
Marvel Studios confirmed the rumors swirling around the upcoming Captain America sequel on Tuesday, officially announcing that the movie would be titled Captain America: Civil War and would feature Chris Evans' Captain America against Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man.
Along with the reveal that there's a Black Panther movie coming and Chadwick Boseman will play him, Marvel also announced that Boseman would appear as Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War.
During their presentation, Marvel brought out Evans, Downey and Boseman, showing off the triumvirate that will lead the movie.
Like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Civil War is going to be huge movie for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From what we've heard, the event of Avengers: Age of Ultron will leave the Avengers team scattered and changed. We'll see the consequences of that in the next Captain America movie. Like many fans, I was hoping to hear that Marvel and Sony had reached a deal to use Spider-Man in Civil War. The character was a huge part of the comic book storyline, but Marvel obviously has different plans for the story when it comes to the big screen.
Captain America: Civil War will open on May 6, 2016. The movie will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
