Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci Join Live-Action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
Are you ready to be Ewan McGregor's guest? The Star Wars actor in talks to join Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast movie. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Tuesday, reporting that McGregor was in line to play Lumiere.
McGregor wasn't the only new castmember close to joining Beauty and the Beast on Tuesday. Variety reported that Stanley Tucci was in talks to play a new character called Cadenza. According to Variety, Cadenza is a grand piano "described as a neurotic maestro."
McGregor and Tucci join a cast that already has Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Ian McKellen, Kevin Kline, Emma Thompson and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Beauty and the Beast will be directed by Bill Condon from a script by Stephen Chbosky. It's slated to hit theaters on March 17, 2017.
