FURIOUS 7 Adds $60.6M to Its Box Office Total in Second Weekend
Furious 7 is taking full advantage of the few weeks it has the box office to itself before Avengers: Age of Ultron storms into theaters. The latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise grossed $60.6 million at the box office this past weekend, pushing the film's domestic gross to $252.5 million. That haul gives Furious 7 the ninth highest total over its first ten days in theaters.
Over just two weekends, Furious 7 is already the highest grossing installment in the franchise. The previous record holder was Fast and Furious 6, which brought in $238.7 million during its entire run. Furious 7 almost had that much going into Sunday.
Furious 7 still has two weekends before Avengers: Age of Ultron opens. The movie will face off against Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and Unfriended next weekend.
