Andy Serkis' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Character Revealed!

After months of speculation, we now know who Andy Serkis is playing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The motion-capture pioneer will portray Supreme Leader Snoke. StarWars.com broke the news on Thursday, posting a unpublished photo of Serkis in his motion-capture gear from the recent Vanity Fair photoshoot.

While we have a name, we don't know much about Supreme Leader Snoke. From the rumors we've been hearing, Snoke is most likely the leader of the First Order (the bad guys who have replaced the Empire) and the boss of Adam Driver's Kylo Ren. Judging by the motion-capture gear Serkis is wearing, Snoke will be a CGI character. Where does the guessing game even begin once the humanoid form is off the table?

We have heard Snoke's voice — he was the one narrating the beginning of the first teaser trailer for The Force Awakens.

Up until this point, websites like MakingStarWars.net have been referring to Serkis' character as Uber, with widespread Internet speculation that Serkis was really playing Darth Plagueis reborn. Looks like that rumor has been debunked now.
