REPORT: Chris Pine in Talks to Play One of Two Green Lanterns (Not Wonder Woman's Boyfriend)

It continues to sound like Chris Pine is on the verge of joining the DC Cinematic Universe — just in a much bigger way than we previously thought. Latino-Review reported earlier this week that the Star Trek star is actually in talks to play the Hal Jordan version of Green Lantern, not Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman as was originally reported last month.

This isn't the only news we have on the Green Lantern front. Collider reported this week that Warner Bros.' Green Lantern reboot will feature several human Green Lanterns: Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner and John Stewart. The previous Green Lantern movie featured Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, the first human Green Lantern.

Latino-Review's report is going with just two Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan played by Pine and John Stewart. The site lists Tyrese Gibson and Common as two contenders for the role. Had director George Miller's Justice League movie become a reality, we'd already have Common as John Stewart. Common already has a role in Suicide Squad, though, which rules him out for the role now.

Both Latino-Review and Collider are predicting that Warner Bros. will use San Diego Comic-Con to introduce not just the Green Lanterns but also the entire Justice League cast together.
