Johnny Depp Terrorizes as Whitey Bulger in Gripping New BLACK MASS Trailer

This is how you cut a trailer. We got a new look at Black Mass on Thursday thanks to a gripping trailer featuring Johnny Depp as the infamous Whitey Bulger.



Yeah, so we don't escape Depp in crazy makeup, but seeing the actor in a movie like this instead of something like Dark Shadows is a welcome change. It also helps that Depp got away from Tim Burton for Black Mass. Maybe working with Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper can bring out something in Depp that we haven't seen in awhile.

Black Mass opens on Sept. 18. In addition to Depp, the movie stars Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Jesse Plemons, Peter Sarsgaard, Corey Stoll, Sienna Miller, Adam Scott and Juno Temple.
