'The Avengers'' Cobie Smulders Ready to Join Vince Vaughn's Sperm Donor Comedy

Do we refer to Cobie Smulders as "How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders" or "The Avengers' Cobie Smulders" now? While HIMYM fans have known Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky for years now, the rest of America (I have no idea why they haven't been watching HIMYM) got to know the actress as Maria Hill of S.H.I.E.L.D. in this summer's The Avengers.

With HIMYM possibly wrapping things up after this season, it looks like Smulders is ready to transition into movies. In addition to her multi-movie Marvel Cinematic Universe deal, Smulders is in negotiations to join Starbuck, a Vince Vaughn comedy about a man who has fathered hundreds of children as a sperm donor. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Smulders would "play Vaughn’s pregnant girlfriend who has heard of the Starbuck story but has no idea that Vaughn is the man behind the myth."
