Abby Elliott Joins 'How I Met Your Mother' for a Multi-Episode Arc

While her time on Saturday Night Live has come to an end, Abby Elliott is still keeping busy. Entertainment Weekly broke the news that Elliott will be joining How I Met Your Mother for a multi-episode arc during what could be the show's final season. There's the chance that Elliott's character could be the final woman that Josh Radnor's Ted Mosby dates before he finally meets the mother.

“We’re thrilled to have the hilarious Abby Elliot joining us in an arc as Janeane, the craziest girl the HIMYM gang has ever encountered. And the strange, inexplicable phenomenon is: the crazier Janeane gets, the more attractive one of the gang finds her,” executive producer Craig Thomas tell us. “It doesn’t end well.”
