'Lincoln,' 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'Les Miserables' Lead Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominations

Nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Wednesday morning. While the critics awards make a lot of noise at the end of the calendar year, the Screen Actors Guild Awards are announced on Jan. 27, 2013, roughly a month before the Academy Awards, giving them a bit more heft than a lot of the other awards.

Focusing on the film awards, LincolnSilver Linings Playbook and Les Miserables lead the pack with four nominations a piece. Since these are awards giving out by an actors' group, the Screen Actors Guild Awards don't honor a best picture, instead awarding a prize for Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture. Four of the five nominees in this category are in line with what we can expect from the Oscars, but The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel seems like the odd film out in this category. I don't think it has a shot an Oscar nomination, but there's still time to change the minds of Oscar voters.

Head past the jump to check out the full list of Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations.
