Your Guide to Martin Short Hosting 'Saturday Night Live' Tomorrow

Martin Short will host Saturday Night Live this Saturday with music guest Paul McCartney. Here's what you need to know about the upcoming episode.

Has Short hosted SNL before?
Yes. This is his second time, hosting a 1996 episode with No Doubt.

What do we know Short from?
Short's done pretty much everything. He was a castmember on SNL for a few seasons during the 1980s, creating popular characters like Jiminy Glick. The actor has been in movies like Three Amigos and Father of the Bridge, TV shows like How I Met Your Mother and Damages, and even TV miniseries like Merlin.

Has Paul McCartney appeared on SNL before?
Yup. This will be the rocker's fourth SNL appearance.

Anything we should expect from this episode?
This is SNL's Christmas episode, so anything could happen and anyone could show up. Odds are it won't reach the legendary status that last season's Jimmy Fallon-hosted Christmas episode did, but it should still be a good time. McCartney has been in New York City this week for the 12-12-12 Concert, playing a song with the surviving members of Nirvana, so there's the chance Dave Grohl could make an appearance. Bill Hader's Stefon has only appeared once this season, so a holiday club guide wouldn't be out of the question this weekend.
