Welcome, Anton Ali and Scott Pukos: 'Popculturology' Adds Two New Contributing Writers

At the end of November, Popculturology announced its first staff addition with Seth Pohorence joining the team. Over the past few weeks, Seth has taken topics ranking from Angus T. Jones' Two and a Half Men outburst to whether or not Skyfall is the best James Bond film. Today, Popculturology welcomes Anton Ali and Scott Pukos as new contributing writers. Some quick information on Anton and Scott:
Anton Ali
It's not just movies, television and music that keep the world moving for Anton Ali — it's all things surrounding pop culture. It's a rough job, but someone has to watch Gangnam Style over and over again. He doesn't have much of a memory when it comes to normal conversations, but when the moment comes, he'll be ready to have a length conversation on the valuation of Beanie Babies at their peak. Anton even keeps a collection of these to this day, but he swears it's purely for the sake of their historical significance.

From an early age, movies have always been a big part of Anton's life. What's especially important to him is the preservation of film's history. Not many people can say one of their favorite actors growing up was Jimmy Stewart, or being able to hold his own at a young age in a conversation about Sal Mineo's performance in Rebel Without a Cause. Don't get him wrong though, if Space Jam ever had a sequel, he'd be first in line.

You can follow him on Twitter at @AntonRAli to discuss the proper value of a wingless Quackers Beanie Baby.

Scott Pukos
Growing up, Scott Pukos wanted to be a Teenage Mutant Nina Turtle. Or a Ghostbuster. Or, if possible, both. Though he still occasionally fights Foot Soldiers, Scott eventually turned to writing for a career. While he spends his days (and sometimes nights) writing for a newspaper, Scott uses his spare time to consume pop culture. (Translation: He watches a lot of TV).
His favorites include The Matrix, The Big Lebowski, LOST, Larry David comedies, Chuck Palahniuk novels, Brian K. Vaughan comics and Arctic Monkey songs.
You can follow him on Twitter at @scottpukos if you want to hear his thoughts on beer, the Buffalo Bills, and why he wants to name his cat The Great Catsby.
Both Anton and Scott weighed in on Popculturology's Top 10 Christmas Movies and Specials. Check that out for yourself and let us know whether or not we have any clue what we're talking about.
