REPORT: 'Parks and Rec' Star Chris Pratt Nabs 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Lead

Chris Pratt may not actually be FBI agent Burt Macklin, but he's going to be policing a much bigger world soon. According to Deadline, Pratt is Marvel's pick to play Star-Lord, the lead character in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Based on the actor's comedy-heavy resume, this news comes as a bit of a shock. Rumor had it Marvel was looking at actors like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but I guess Pratt's dramatic turn as a Navy SEAL in Zero Dark Thirty convinced the studio that he could carry the franchise. I can't wait to see Pratt's Star-Lord banter with Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark.
