What do we know Waltz from?
Are you a fan of Quentin Tarantino movies? If you are, you'll recognize Waltz from Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained. Waltz won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor a few years ago and snagged another Best Supporting Actor nomination for Django Unchained. Beyond that, though, Waltz hasn't really branched out much since his breakout role, only appearing in the underwhelming The Green Hornet.
Have Alabama Shakes appeared on SNL before?
Nope. This will be the band's first SNL appearance.
Anything we should expect from this episode?
It's hard to predict what kind of comedy SNL will build around Waltz, so it's probably easier to look at what's in the news that the show could poke fun at. Marco Rubio's water-sipping incident after the State of the Union is probably the surest bet when it comes to the week in politics. The surprise resignation of Pope Benedict XVI could also be an SNL target.The cruise ship that broke down, leaving its passengers to live in filth and sewage is also a possibility. What you should expect is an episode of SNL that works around, instead of with, its host.

You were very spot-on with your predictions! I thought that Christoph Waltz was hilarious last night on SNL. Who knew he could be so funny? I got off of work at DISH early last night, so it was nice to see the show live. I like watching my shows during dinner in the kitchen, and I always end up lounging on the couch. With my DISH Hopper whole-home DVR, it’s nice that I can start watching in one room and finish in any other room at home.
