Natalie Portman's Western Reloads: Ewan MacGregor Replaces Bradley Cooper in 'Jane Got a Gun'
Is Natalie Portman's Jane Got a Gun finally ready to become a reality? Ewan McGregor is in negotiations to join the production, according to a Deadline report, becoming the fourth actor to sign on for the male lead. Last week, Jane Got a Gun lost Bradley Cooper, continuing a streak of bad luck. McGregor will play an outlaw villain in the movie. It's not often you see the actor in a villainous role, so this could be an interesting performance from McGregor.
Fans of Portman and McGregor know that this isn't the first time the two have worked together, as they spent almost a decade working on the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy together. While lightsaber spottings will be scarce in Jane Got a Gun, I would have to imagine that the subject of future Star Wars movies will come in conversation at least once between Portman and McGregor. Portman's Star Wars life is over, but McGregor has expressed a willingness to reprise the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi if he's called upon.
