TRAILER: Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey Have Front-Row Seats for Presidential History in 'The Butler'

Well, this one choked me up a bit. The first trailer for The Butler hit the Internet on Tuesday, and it looks like we have an Oscar contender on our hands with this one. The Butler is based on the story of Eugene Allen, a White House butler who served under seven presidents, and the movie has assembled quite the cast.

Forest Whitaker plays Cecil Gaines, the butler based on Allen's story, with Oprah Winfrey returning to the big screen for the first time in 15 years to play Gaines' wife. Other famous political icons include John Cusack as Richard Nixon, Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan, Melissa Leo as Mamie Eisenhower, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan, Liev Schreiber as Lyndon B. Johnson, Robin Williams as Dwight D. Eisenhower, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy and Minka Kelly as Jackie KennedyCuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Lenny Kravitz, David Oyelowo, Vanessa Redgrave and Alex Pettyfer also star in The Butler. Whew, like I said, quite the cast.

The Butler is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 18, 2013, putting it right at the beginning of Oscar season. Check out the first trailer for the movie after the jump.
