Eliza Coupe Finally Getting a USA Network Show (Just Not 'Happy Endings')
It's not Happy Endings, but Eliza Coupe will finally make it to a USA Network sitcom. Even though months of rumors that the network would pick up our beloved Happy Endings after ABC dropped the show turned out to be a massive lie, USA Network apparently still wanted to be in the Coupe business.
On Wednesday, Vulture reported that will star in Benched, a sitcom about "a high-end corporate lawyer who has a public meltdown after she's passed over for a promotion and winds up working as a public defender." Former Saturday Night Live castmember Michaela Watkins created and will write Benched.
I'm still mad at you, USA Network, but if you make this show happen with Coupe and it's good, we can start our journey down the path to redemption.
