Marvel Is Working on a Secret 60-Episode Project That Could Include 'Agent Carter' Series

Not content with dominating the box office and having a hit TV series, Marvel has set it sights on launching a 60-episode project that would include four drama series and a miniseries to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Deadline, part of the package could be the Agent Carter series that has been rumored to be in the works. We first met Agent Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger, with actress Hayley Atwell portraying the character. Marvel recently added a new story to the character's biography with the Agent Carter One Shot that came with the Iron Man 3 blu-ray. Deadline reports that it's "unclear whether that project is being earmarked for ABC or would be part of the VOD/cable package."

Four more series and a miniseries? Once again, let's look at what Marvel is doing and what Warner Bros. is doing with its superhero properties. Marvel is already planning Phase Three of its Cinematic Universe and has four movies scheduled between now and July 2015. Warner Bros. has the Superman/Batman movie scheduled. That's it.
