Zack Snyder's Animated Short Celebrates Superman's 75th Anniversary and Lengthy History
This short is so cool. Put together by DC Comics' Bruce Timm and Man of Steel director Zack Snyder, the animated short celebrates Superman's long history through comics, TV, animation and movies in honor of his 75th anniversary.
The short takes fans from the iconic superhero's beginnings in Action Comics all the way through to this summer's Man of Steel cinematic reboot, with touches honoring the Christopher Reeve movies, the Death of Superman storyline, Superman: The Animated Series and a ton of other Superman milestones along the way. The only glaring omission I caught is that The New Adventures of Lois and Clark appear to have been left out, which is understandable given how much of Superman's history had to be packed into two minutes.
One of my favorite parts is how the short moves from John Williams' classic Superman theme into Hans Zimmer's new Man of Steel theme, which I adore.
