'SNL' PROMOS: Kerry Washington and Taran Killam Don't Follow the Rules. Oooo, Scandal!

I'd like to think it's a good sign when a Saturday Night Live host and a cast member have great chemistry during their show promos, which bodes well for Kerry Washington. The Scandal star will host SNL for her first time this weekend, with Eminem as the musical guest.

NBC released a series of promos for Washington's episode, pairing her with Taran Killam, who I'm pretty sure has been in half of this season's SNL promos already. He may have been in hiding this past weekend, but Killam is the show's star now.

SNL's strong 39th season has been fueled in part by the female hosts Lorne Michael has selected so far. After having very few women host the show last season, SNL has picked women to host three of its first five shows. Let's hope Washington continues the trend started by Tina Fey and Miley Cyrus.
