'Guardians of the Galaxy' Star Chris Pratt in Talks for 'Jurassic World' Lead
He's yet to deliver a blockbuster, but the world has already decided that Chris Pratt is a movie star. Jurassic World, that is. According to TheWrap, the Guardians of the Galaxy star is in early talks to star in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel. While the actor doesn't have any film commitments, the uncertain status of Parks and Recreation would be a possible scheduling issue.
What a crazy ride for Pratt. Before he won the lead in Marvel's Guardians and the Galaxy, he was just a schlubby guy on an NBC sitcom that no one watched. Now Pratt is in action-hero shape, leading arguably the most ambitious movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and voicing the main character in the crazy awesome-looking The Lego Movie.
If Pratt and Universal can make this deal happen, he would join Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson in Jurassic World. Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow is helming the movie, which is expected to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
