Peter O'Toole Dead at Age 81
Actor Peter O'Toole is dead at age 81. The Lawrence of Arabia actor "died on Saturday at London's Wellington hospital in London after a long illness," according to O'Toole's agent (via the BBC).
O'Toole had a long and decorated career as an actor, appearing in films like Lawrence of Arabia and Goodbye, Mr. Chips. The actor set a record for most nominations for the Oscar for Best Actor without ever winning one, being nominated eight times. The Academy gave O'Toole an honorary Oscar in 2003.
Despite retiring from acting in 2012, O'Toole was planning on coming out of retirement for Katherine of Alexandria, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
