FIRST LOOK: 'Jurassic World' Pics, Plot Details and Sequel Hints
Entertainment Weekly has our first look at Jurassic World, the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, and there are unfortunately no shots of actual dinosaurs. It's still cool to see the Jurassic Park logo on trucks again.
Jurassic World is directed by Colin Trevorrow, who previously helmed Safety Not Guaranteed. The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt stars in Jurassic World.
"Yesterday I was under a construction crane with Chris Pratt, covered with dirt, eyeballing the exact height of the dinosaur trying to kill him," Trevorrow told EW. "We both cracked up laughing. Sometimes you just have to stop and let the joy take over."
Trevorrow also chatted with Empire Magazine about Jurassic World, revealing that his movie is "about alpha dominance and the fact that humans have been the alpha species for a very long time, and so now we've brought back another that happened to be the alpha species during its time, and we have to co-exist, so what is that relationship?"
The director also told Empire that Jurassic World was being crafted to set up a new series of Jurassic Park movies, saying the movie would be "a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story."
Jurassic World is set to open on June 12, 2015. In addition to Pratt, the movie stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, BD Wong, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Vincent D'Onofrio and Judy Greer.
