Seth Meyers to Host 2014 Emmy Awards
While the Emmy Awards often have trouble battling an obsession with The Big Bang Theory and Jim Parsons, the ceremony does have a knack for snagging top-notch hosts. Seth Meyers will join past hosts like Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen DeGeneres when he helms the 2014 Emmys.
NBC announced that the Late Night host had been selected on Thursday, with NBC Entertainment President of Late Night and Alternative Programming Paul Telegdy saying in a statement, "Seth’s expertise and ease in front of a live audience during his time at SNL, as well as his comedic brilliance both as a writer and in front of the camera on SNL and Late Night, makes him the perfect choice to host the Emmys."
The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will air on NBC on Aug. 25.
