'Harry Potter' Actor Jason Isaacs Voicing 'Star Wars Rebels' Villain

Lucasfilm confirmed on Thursday that Jason Isaacs will be voicing the Inquisitor in Star Wars Rebels. For many pop culture fans, Isaacs is best known for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. With the Inquisitor being the main villain in the upcoming Rebels, Isaacs will get to stay in that vein of acting.

Star Wars Rebels premieres on Disney XD this fall and will tell the story of how the Rebel Alliance formed during the time between Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope. We learned last week that David Oyelowo will be voicing Agent Kallus, an Imperial Security Bureau official under the Inquisitor. Between Isaacs and Oyelowo, we're going to see the return of British-accented Imperial officers, which for any fan of the Original Trilogy is a great callback.

Star Wars Rebels executive producers Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg and the Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo joined Isaacs in a video released by Lucasfilm to discuss the Inquisitor and his role in Star Wars Rebels.
