Lego Unveils 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' 'Hobbit' and 'The Lego Movie' Comic-Con Exclusive Sets

As if going to San Diego Comic-Con wasn't already cool enough, Lego is rolling out a bunch of exclusives that will be available at the upcoming pop culture convention. These sets and minifigures will come from movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies and The Lego Movie.

Unfortunately, these exclusives will only be available at Comic-Con and will only be available in limited quantities.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be represented with two exclusives. The first will be a Lego minifig version of Benicio Del Toro's The Collector. It's a great looking minifig, and I'm hoping that Lego will eventually make him available through a Guardians of the Galaxy set that's widely available. It would be shame for Lego and Guardians fans to not be able to add this character to their collection.

Another Comic-Con exclusive from Guardians of the Galaxy will be Rocket's Warbird ship. From the looks of the set, it won't be full minifigure scale, but it will come with a new version of the Rocket minifig. Luckily Lego fans can still get Rocket through a set that also comes with Groot.

The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies will be represented by a minifig of Luke Evans' Bard the Bowman. The character did already get the minifigure treatment in a The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug set, but The Hollywood Reporter does note that this is an exclusive version of the character.

Fans of The Lego Movie's Unikitty will be especially jealous of anyone at Comic-Con who gets their hands on a version of the character who transforms between Cuteskitty and Cheerkitty. I already have the regular Unikitty, Biznis Kitty, Astro Kitty and Angry Kitty, but I would love to add this one. Sadly, that won't happen.

Star Wars Rebels will also get the Lego treatment at Comic-Con, with a miniature version of The Ghost spaceship available to lucky attendees. The set will come with a regular-sized Chopper droid. I can't imagine that this version of Chopper is any different than the version available in normal Star Wars Rebels Lego sets.

This might seem like a ton of Lego Comic-Con exclusives, but there are more on the way. THR reports that there will be a minifig coming from DC comics too. Perhaps Ben Affleck's version of Batman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?
