FIRST LOOK: The Thing From the FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot Prepares for Some Clobberin' Time

Holy crap, Fox actually revealed something new from its Fantastic Four reboot. The studio released the first official look at The Thing through Empire and Entertainment Weekly on Thursday. We've seen hints of Jamie Bell's take on the rockiest member of the Fantastic Four in the posters and trailer for the movie, but this is the first image of him.

Director Josh Trank has said that his version of The Thing will be a mix of CGI and practical effects, which explains why the new take on the character looks better than the "Michael Chiklis in a suit" version we got in the previous two Fantastic Four movies.

"Jamie in real life is a tough guy," Trank told Empire. "He exudes this strength. Ben is Reed's best friend in the archetypal, spiritual way, and you want that character to have that warmth and that strength."

Empire also published two more pics from Fantastic Four, showing off the team in their containment suits and what appears to be a slightly stretchy Reed Richards.
