Here's the Scoop on Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o’s STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Characters

It's May the Fourth, so happy Star Wars Day. In honor of the holiday, Vanity Fair has released some Star Wars: The Force Awakens news from its upcoming Star Wars issue, including news about Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong'o.



While Lucasfilm hadn't officially acknowledged it, we've known for awhile that Driver has been the man behind Kylo Ren's ominous facemask. Thanks to Vanity Fair, we now have our first look at Driver as Kylo Ren without the mask.

Next-generation bad guy Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) commands snowtroopers loyal to the evil First Order on the frozen plains of their secret base.

Vanity Fair also revealed the name of the character Nyong'o is playing: Maz Kanata.

According to Vanity Fair, Maz Kanata is a pirate with her own castle full of rogues.

We also got new shot of Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and a shot of Daisy Ridley as Rey with director JJ Abrams.

Vanity Fair has teased that there could be more Star Wars: The Force Awakens news on the way today, possibly a reveal regarding Gwendoline Christie's character, Captain Phasma.
